Got text message to tell me I could be eligible for help with energy bills Ok so why don’t some of the brains of the goverment set their mind to finding out who so kindly send me this message with a view to a bit of thieving .

I’m sure the government has other things to worry about than a text. Just delete it.
Whoever sent it probably is based overseas, so beyond reach of our law enforcement.

I have deleted it but the point is ,in this day and age the senders could be found out .The money has to end up some where .

So when I spend money in any shop with card within 1 minute I get a message telling me that happened .So if banks got together and agreed that no money left an account until it was verified by card holder would that help ?
No, it would cause all kinds of problems
i got a load of those scam messages also

No Dtc if its like the current popular scam it was a scammer claiming to be govuk but it wasnt a govuk site
with data prtection and spoofed phone numbers and the free availabilty of sim cards and burner phones and the ease of hiding money overseas theres almost no chance of tracing any payments.
