I’m attempting to not put the heating on until I’m absolutely desperate.

But because I’m now quite cold all the time, I’m finding that I’m really hungry, and eating more! Anybody else get this, or know why this happens?

Ive not put heating on yet, but I’ve always got a couple of throws/blankets folded up over the arm of the sofa, well one of the sofas, so when I’m watching tv in the evening I tend to just grab one of them and fling it over me.
i just put on an extra layer of clothing, but once it turns very cold here, and that's rare, i put on the electric heater, as i don't have central heating.
You don’t have central heating?
nope, i chose not to have it when the council were installing the central heating system to the block. It makes me get colds more and wheezy chest which i put down to the dryness of CH.
I’ve got to say that we have a 3 storey house but I’ve got the radiators turned off in all 4 bedrooms, the kitchen, in fact they’re only on in the lounge now I come to think of it, and the bathroom heated towel rail, but that’s only when I turn them on lol. The funny thing is that MrSmow is twice my weight but even he puts the heating on more than me lol.
some people don't feel the cold as much i guess..
I guess I should feel it more as I’ve lost 4 stone lol, but even so I guess I’d just rather grab a snuggly blanket then put the heating on.
Crisis what crisis?

With the gov handouts - £200 wfa + £300 + £400 fuel bills discount I'll be better off than last winter!
dave not everyone will benefit from wfa.
Have had my heating on for a month or so. Can't do without it.

Put it on for an hour through the day and it will take that oul chill of the house and I usually put it on at night for an hour and half - it gets so lovely and warm I do have to turn it off.

Put it on fgs
