Reasons To Be Cheerful

1. It is a bright sunny brezzy blue sky day;

2. a young lady in my family is recovering well from cancer;

3. I have just bought some bulbs to put in the pots by the front door to cheer dull Spring days;

4. I'm off to the kitchen to make a cake.

Horrible weather here all day :( BUT that's good news for the gardens and aquifers :) Nice that some of you are having lovely weather somewhere. OH has got round to repainting the downstairs doors - no chance while the weather's been fine - and I've just finished writing a tricky story for tomorrow's writing group. Also found time to give myself a nice, relaxing face-mask, so lots of happy bits in the gloom.

32C in the greenhouse earlier and that's with the door and window open. Certainly a nice surprise this morning was awful.

1. My kittens are cuddly and cute and actually stopped wrecking the house for a couple of hours today so I got stuff done.
2. Mr BM has stopped giving me a list of jobs to do ;)
3. I mentioned to a neighbour on Sunday that we were low on logs but I couldn't cope with a delivery at present due to Mr BM being out of action - bless his heart he telephoned earlier to say he has got a truck full of chopped logs for me which he will deliver when it stops raining. I could have cried.
4. I took a day off yesterday and cleaned the house. It is spotless (apart from the wreckage created by two adorable fluff balls).
5. The nice man from Tescos brought me some wine.

Nice day weather wise
Went to see little Grandson singing in the church for Harvest Festival. He made me smile. He was very animated!
My daughter's on the mend from an awful chest cold.
She and myself and Grandson are off to Herts: tomorrow to house & cat sit for other daughter, who is away on holiday.
Got a lovely beef casserole in the oven, which smells gorgeous..

1, my daughter has been given a promotion after half a term in her new position.
2, my son can finally go back on his medication after having to be off it for a couple of months. He is suffering a lot of joint pain now.
3, we're going out for Christmas lunch as a family as I just can't cook a big meal this year.
4, we managed to recatch the feral extom cat so he can have his stitches out. (He was not happy)
5, the showerroom has been redesigned so I can use it, with a higher loo so I can get on and off easier.
What would make me happier? Appointment with orthopaedics about a hip replacement. Heyho
