Paigntnian 19:16. "Tory MPs and Tory Party members are not racist. There may be a few but no more than in other organisation s. Labour has, at least in recent years, been antisemitic and provably so." I could riposte - "Labour MPs and Labour Party members are not racist. If you had any decency you'd have opened the tweet before you opened your mouth.
It was a 1 minute video of Tulsi Gabbard explaining why she left the Democrat Party. It was massive news in the US and on every news station over there. Although there were dozens of links to it, the Twitter one was the only short version.
A few days earlier I wanted to post a Republican Senator saying something close to 'The war in Ukraine is going great. As long as we keep pumping weapons in, they'll keep on fighting to the last man'.
There were plenty of links to that as well, unfortunately the EU Ministry of Truth wouldn't allow anyone in this country to view any of them. But it got through on Twitter.
So, while I'm sorry that I interrupted your thread, on your favourite subject, you might want to think on in future. Resist the urge to be a smart-*** because, trust me, you ain't.
And, if you don't mind, would you pass this message on to the other chuckle brother. Ta ;-)

SP, you said //If you were a woman fighting in a constituency and you knew that a group of people wouldn't vote for you not based on your gender or ability it wouldn't be something to ignore - it'd be something to challenge.//
An uncomfortable truth it may be, but my post is entirely relevant to that - and I've no doubt whatsoever that you know that.

Through his father-in-law, India’s second richest businessman, Sunak is lined up with the Modi Hindu nationalists.
In the hunt for votes, Rishi Sunak would have to overcome the innate prejudice of many Brexit voters in the UK.
Rishi Sunak would be a Tory leader of unimaginable wealth, close to Hindu elites in India who, in turn, are loathed by millions of British Muslim voters.
A Prime Minister Rishi Sunak would be the revenge of the Empire on its English colonizers.

Also - aren’t you putting words into my mouth?
My question was whether this chap was representative of Tory voters and whether this was a problem for Rishi
Did you think I wrote something else - about the parliamentary party and did you think I framed it as a statement?
I can understand why you may have thought that, but it wasn’t supposed to be declarative.

You do make it very hard to tell the difference between being subjective or being suggestive when you post. Is this deliberate or are you constantly posting accidental attitude? If Richy Rishi sneaks in a bit of legislation designed to limit the influence of muslim leaders or to curb their ability to enter the Country, legally or otherwise, will you consider him to be a racist? Are we allowed to guess?
