having taken an hour longer to find my destination tonight because the sat nav didn't recognise the postcode of the service area I am looking for a new one - don't need anything complicated just an honest one who doesn't lie to you - this one tried to send me to Newcastle instead of Derby tonight! This is not the first time I've had trouble with it not finding a service area so any ideas welcome.

Eek, my Hyundai has Satnav built in but I had a Garmin one before that which is still floating around somewhere.

OH uses his iPhone for Satnav.
What satnav have you got? Have you tried inputting the address instead of the postcode? Do you look at the route before setting off?

I like TomTom, mine is a few years old.

I use a lot of taxis and most drivers use either Google maps or Waze on their phones and I have been impressed .
I use my iphone and it’s brilliant. It’s clear and accurate with good directions especially useful for diversions if a road is closed or heavily congested.

Google maps is just as good. Try is before you but anything new.
