I made this earlier, with a view to freezing a good few portions of it.
I used a whole big bag of quorn, two tins of kidney beans, four onions, four peppers, two jars of hot chilli sauce, a stock jelly cube, a carton of chopped tomatoes, and four squares of very dark chocolate.
It’s really, really tasty and quite hot. We’ll have some tonight and then freeze the rest.
Yum.

Very wise. Sounds delicious!

Dyou know what, patsy, I was making a chilli anyway and decided to make it a big one to do ‘batch cooking’ and save energy..mine and the electricity ;)
I don't blame you! Enjoy :-)
I was with you until the chocolate. I would have eaten that with a cuppa while the con carne bubbled away.

Ha ha Hoppy! Think cocoa powder rather than drinking chocolate, what the very dark chocolate does is enrich the chilli rather than making it taste of chocolate.
It was delicious and plenty of portions in the freezer.
Yes, I always use dark choc/cocoa powder in a chilli...but also include ground cumin at the start and finish it with chopped, fresh coriander (which some people really don't like!).
