Has anyone used a Qucare Self Total Cholesterol test? If so, can they explain Step 9 where a warning says "If you don't apply the additional blood sample onto the test hole the result may be inaccurate". What do they mean by "additional"?

Thanks, Zacs-Master. That's exactly what I did so I still don't understand the reference to an additional blood sample. I'll try the e-mail address on their leaflet.
saw the video and yes - there is no additional blood sample

I only did it because testing for cholesterol alone is probably er a waste of time. If you are doing it under supervision, OK
( as in - if it is high and I reduce it, will it do any good ? - )

whereas if you are taking a statin and want to monitor then a good idea

sozza to intrude

I did it because I had been diagnosed with high cholesterol at the beginning of the year and wanted to know whether it had improved. Do you think the result, which actually said it was o.k., would not be too accurate then, Peter?
Personally, the only result I would trust is on a blood sample taken at my health centre and sent to the local hospital labs.

I've had a reply from my e-mail to the manufacturers in which they say it should read "If you don't apply sufficient (not additional) blood to the test hole, the result may be inaccurate". That's the trouble when you translate from Korean!!!
