Well they are talking about going on strike anyway so we won't know how cold it is will we.
Its called winter, it happens most years.
More doom and gloom, to go along with cost of living and fuel prices. Newspapers love items like this. As Pasts says it's called winter and happens every year. And they wonder why more people are claiming to be depressed.
As Pasta says - sorry
The Express has a lengthy track record of forecasting weather extremes which never materialise. See my post here for a very long list of them!

I'm fascinated to read that "the forecaster has issued a rare five day level 3 amber health alert for much of England. It says there is a 90 percent probability of icy conditions striking between 6pm on December 7 until 9am on December 12", which seems rather odd because the ONLY weather warning on the Met Office website is a YELLOW (not amber) one, which is ONLY for ONE day (Wednesday) and ONLY applies to Northern Scotland:

Late afternoon where I live it was 2 degrees and the gritters were out. Just had a look out and all the cars are white with frost. Ah well, winter in Scotland so nothing new.
Wont be snow here.
We've got dry and sunny all week predicted down this way. I'd say it's colder than normal though. There's to be a 5 day stretch where temps will hover at 0° at certain times of the day.
