Leading up to Christmas we all seem to ramp up our eating. I am trying to not each too much junk.

We are having Sirloin steak and salad and I made him a syrup sponge pudding which he will have with custard.

So what is tickling your tastebuds today?

Hardly 4 'meals' a day, Miss T. Supper ('bout 10pm) is usually a slice of cake or a couple of biscuits washed down with my last cuppa of the day. Red, if you live south of Burnley, then i am from 'up north' :-)

We are having goat curry but I've swopped out the goat for shearling lamb and the fried plantain for roast sweet potatoes.
We’re having chilli from the freezer, I made a huge cauldron of it a few weeks ago and froze most of it. Just having it with Veetee ready done microwaveable rice, might have a tangerine for afters or half a box of Maltesers…ooh choices!
"Okay, Red, what do they call those ladies who dish food out in schools around midday"
they are called lunchime controllers round here now
i have to make something slimming world friendly with either pork mince or lamb leg chunks. I think im heading for meatballs ATM as i have loads of veg to use up
what is shearling lamb?
Shearling lamb is a lamb that is not slaughtered in its first year and therefore gets sheared ( wool cut off) at around 15 months old. The meat is more savoury than regular lamb. We get one from a local farmer and its lasts us all year.
"Lunchtime controllers" ? Sounds very Orwellian. God help us.
Curry perfume is wafting from the kitchen. I'm starving! A rather oversized G and T means I'm also a bit tipsy. ;0
