I Don't 'Do' Christmas

I am not religious, I live alone with my dogs, I don't get any presents and don't give any or send cards, and certainly don't want to go and sit in someone else's house on Christmas day when I can spend time with my dogs. I have just spent about an hour deleting comments from people I don't even know wishing everyone a merry christmas - why don't people understand that for some of us it is just another day? I am not miserable, its just not my thing so sorry if that offends but go away and try to outdo other people with your fancy christmas decorations and messages! I am not impressed!

Christmas nowadays has too much hype about it starting after Hallowe'en (sometimes before) and, by the time the Big Day comes around, it can seem a bit of a flop. I like Christmas but, at the same time, know that some people count it as just another day and that's their choice. Children get excited and that's what it's really all about.

I created Souldarkness some years ago to say what Rowanwitch couldnt, and sometimes to argue two sides when I felt points could be made that conflicted. She was the evil side of me. Fun while it lasted but I also know she broke the rules. So deactivated .

Nothing at all wrong with Rowan. Great sense of fun and lovely to spend an evening with. Strange taste in her creative Christmas presents to the men though but they caused much merriment around the table. :-)

No I really am ok, I do have a very black sense of humour though, and it doesn't always read as intended. Gness gets it, as do others on here I met. It was great when we got together.

An example was a meet up not long after Redman died. We were in the brewdog bar when I brought out a sealed coffee tin and asked if they minded me bringing him along. Kidding them it was his ashes.... Ummmm was there with her OH, as well as Rocky Raccoon, Mcfluff, and Barmaid if I remember right.

Gness is a very short female leprechaun married to the tallest man in Ireland, I am a fat bag englishwoman, OFF is pretty much as she seems on here, maybe a little softer, If Fluff, well Fluffy is fluffy... And Ummm was also far less forthright in real life. More thoughtful and nice to talk to also with a wicked sense of humour. Taking home my scorpion chilli chocolate to put where her kids would steal it.
