I have to say I'm not keen on Dickens's books but I love Christmas Carol.

Not sure Dickens has a monopoly on good character names.
Ian Fleming was also notable, as was Roald Dahl. Both wrote distinctive memorable characters.
And in this streaming age, there are loads of great modern new ones.

Joseph Heller was excellent with names. Milo Minderbender, Scheisskopf, Major Major Major Major and the rest.
