With the advent of email and social network websites such as 'myspace' and 'facebook' sending electronic messages has meant it's a lot faster than writing stuff down and popping it in the post. You can even apply for a job and fill out your C.V online now. So when was the last time you put pen to paper to a friend/relative?

What a good question john , I had to think hard to remember , it must have been late last year when I sent a letter inside a parcel for a relative . Otherwise we do tend to communicate via telephone , text , or msn , and email .
xxxxxx
Oh btw john , I have sent you a PM as there was something I needed to ask you honey :-) xxxxxxx
I actually write letter's quite a lot. Think the last one was last friday to one of my sister's. It would be easier to email my friend's and family, but I like to recieve letter's. I am pretty easily pleased, so recieving a letter can make my day!!

Hi 4gs, good Q. I wrote a letter in the form of a card yesterday to my friend, who is doing a season as a chalet hostess in Switzerland. On the whole though, I do use electronic forms of communication much more. The friend I mentioned sent me a lovely long letter, the first handwritten letter I have received in a while. It made me very happy, and I appreciated the effort she'd put into writing it. It was the first sunny day we had had for some time, and when I got the letter, I sat outside with it to read it through. Lovely!
I also wrote thank you letters at Christmas to the few rellies who still get me (much-appreciated) gifts, as I was always taught (well, forced!) to write thank-yous at Christmas when I was growing up.

You? x
After Christmas... am I the only one still sending Thank You letters?
One of my very closest friends lives in Australia and we write 'real' letters to each other. probably a few times a year, we email and phone too but its so much nicer to get a letter and when i write to her i put so much more into it than an email.
I also wrote a letter to an author recently because many of his books on parenting have inspired me so much.
I have a few people I keep in touch with through letter, I wrote quite a few in January/Early this Month, just to see how people are! I think I posted some...last Tuesday.

Also, I have a few penpals, of which I've written to for 10 years! I like getting a letter through the door, as do they, and when one of them adds me as a friend on facebook, it kind of spoils things!

Oh yeah, and for my current job, I wrote a CV and covering letter!
