Just on the phone to my son and don’t how the conversation turned to what him and his sister wore that was trendy, he remember them having Harrington jackets, black blouson with a red tartan lining, and Pod shoes :0)
My own memories were the can can slips and circular skirts worn with a gypsy blouse, loved that set up ;0)

Sasha shoes for me in the 70s, can’t say they were my favourite shoes, I much preferred the bright lime greens and pinks patent ones of the 60s
My bottle green maxi coat and all my Laura Ashley floral, ditsy maxi dresses.
I wasn't really into teenage fashion but it's what I wore in the 80s that I loved and still think is great, especially sweater dresses with leg warmers and heels, shoulder pads, power dressing and baggy jeans but really cinched on the waist with a very wide belt, crop tops.
When I wasn't wearing my biker leathers with painted angel and studs I was mostly in Mary Quant or hippy clothes which I made. I remember getting off a bus in Southport and being followed by a group of kids singing Let's Go to San Fransisco...which I did a few times and loved it.
I still have a gorgeous Jeff Banks top....sixty five years old...and worth an arm and a leg I found out but I had cut the unusual buttons off years ago for a dress for the daughter. :-(

Arh the ex of 60s singer Sandy Shore Gness
Yes, she forgave him for losing all her money and leaving her living in a caravan.
I never forgave him for designing the Brownie Uniform. Grrrrrrrrr.

And many a shop workers uniforms too :0(
Indeed, Bobbi...but at least I didn't have to help them have a wee when their culottes were attached to a sash.
Oh I forgot platform shoes.... Had a black ravel pair with 5" platforms 8" heel, blooming nightmare, but so cool, and a metallic emerald green pair with
stack platforms.... And a pair with a transparent wedge .... I used to love shoes before my back became a problem....
Hush puppies with red socks
A tad surprised that none of the guys have mentioned double denim. When i wasn't wearing flares (not those ridiculously wide bell-bottoms), i could be found rocking the 'double-denim' look throughout my teens and early to mid-20s. Even had an old denim jacket with the sleeves removed for summer wear :-))
Back to footwear, my favorite boots were "Levi jean boots" similar to baseball boot, only the upper was made out of denim
