Apart from maybe babysitting, or doing odd jobs at say, a local shop (I'm not sure if you can legally do this, although I do know a 14 year old girl who sometimes works at her local), or dogwalking. I would say the best bet is going with small jobs around the neighbourhood, sorry if I couldn't be much help though.

Without sounding cruel, it may be very hard to get a job at just 13. When your about 15 it will be easier. (Even if you think your very responsible, your employers will still see you as too young.) But don't fret! Enjoy your life being free of a big job... then when your about 15, go round, email/write/phone local places, maybe jobs in small shops, hairdressers, restaurants and similar places. (Best place to look is family run businesses)

go on google and go onto connexions, that's the best place to find info on different jobs and all the legal stuff you will need.

Best of luck!!

Good luck!

Coratulations to you for being so entrepreneurial ! The school holidays will be coming up soon. If you can use a computer, why not print out some little posters saying "Local school boy wants to earn some pocket money during school holiday. Will do weeding, garden watering, walking the dog, wash your car, etc." Talk to your parents first though to make sure they're happy with your approach. Perhaps they could talk to friends who might have some work for you. I'm not sure about the legality of earning money for many jobs at the age of 13 so perhaps your activities might need to be restricted to those individuals who know you.

if you choose "cat washing" be CAREFUL!!

yes, i would suggest baby-sitting, dog-walking, maybe try lawn-mowing or weed-picking if you like the outdoors. (old stand-by: lemonade stand...)

when you do get to legal working age, make sure to list all of the "work" (paper route, the choice(s) you select from suggestions or your own ideas, etc.) on a resume and / or job application.
