I wrote a letter today, sealed it in an envelope, addressed it and stuck an old stamp on it.
Then I suddenly remembered that such stamps expired at the end of January.
But thankfully Google found me the information that the deadline has been extended.
Phew! The recipient is a charity, the last thing I wanted was to lumber them with an excess payment.

I left it for weeks as I had no idea who it was from. On the last day available, I thought I'd better go and collect it, just in case. The excess postage was 8p. Yep, 8p, because it was an A4 envelope. There was only one thing inside - a £50 note.
