So many greatest of all times..songs, tv soaps, films,even 8 out of 10 owners prefered it...etc..but have any abers actually been stopped and asked their opinion,if not who are these mysterious people who vote??

Mind you, those people who appear on C4's 100 greatest would probably do it for a few extra quid.

Yes I'm signed up with a lot of survey sites, I get about 5 surveys a week emailed to me! Some are fun and some are a bit boring

All the Channel 4 ones are done through their website, I've voted in a couple before, although they're always a bit fixed as you only get a certain number of options to choose from eg in 100 Greatest Cartoons there will have been a shortlist of 125 for you to pick your top 5/10 from.

I once contributed to the RAJAR radio ratings survey - you know the one where every six months they say Terry Wogan's put on another quarter of a million listeners and Start The Week's reach is down 7.361 per cent? They ask you to fill in a radio listening diary for a week. I didn't actually listen to much radio that week, though!

In 1979 i was stopped in the Market Hall off St Mary's Street cardiff and asked by this researcher to take part in a survey for a TV series that was about to be filmed. It turned out to be Family Fortunes.
