Is there a way of putting a list of phrases that are in Microsoft Word in alphabetical order? If not is there any free software that will do this and is easy to use? Many thanks for your answers.
Presuming all your phrases are on separate lines. Highlight all the phrases, and then go to Table>Convert>Text to table. Then, with the new table highlighted, go to Table>Sort>OK.
Then, with the table still highlighted, Table>Convert>Table to text.
Highlight all your phrases.
Go to menu Table / Insert / Table
(phrases will now be in a table - leave them highlighted)
Go to menu Table / Sort and sort on column 1
( your phrases will now be in alphabetical order.)
If you want to get your phrases back out of the table then highlight them all, choose copy, move to a blank area of your document and choose from the menu Edit / Paste Special and select 'Unformatted Text' and then OK.
