Valentine's Day Flowers.
22 Answers
I have just arrived home from Sainsburys. What a sad sight it was to see so many men wandering around the fresh flower department looking for the cheapest bunch of decent flowers.
The look of desperation on their faces was clear to see. There was one bloke wandering about when I went in and he was still wandering about when I'd finished my shopping and was coming out. He probably resorted to a box of Maltesers in the long run!
Mr T never buys me flowers for Valentine's Day. I forbid it! Such a waste of money in my opinion.

He liked really bright colours so in the early days I spent a lot of time 're wiring drooping Gerberas, and roses that had been out of water too long. My first husband stopped buying flowers after I smashed a bunch of those huge florists chrysanthemums over his head. Hate them, so blooming hard to arrange without buying loads of other things to go with them. female ex knew buying flowers also meant buying oasis not romantic but meant I could do something nice with what she bought. I always bought her freesias, and purple flowers ( her favourites). My flings bought me roses which I couldn't take home but my desk at work was pretty.
