I suppose that it is reasonable if the Moon was worshipped then each moon in a year had a special name. You can imagine ( well I can) a 7 y o Celt in 30BC, saying ( in P-goidelic) - "every week day has a different name. Foo datta lorra names!"

Not really as far as I can make out it was more you simply counted days from the full moon, so something like 9th day after flower moon. It was only when the Norse folk got involved they started naming days.
