i have car insurance full comp and thought that this would cover me for the bike still do not know if this is the case as i know that you can drive another car third party on my insurance policy. so was not driving totally without insurance.
You know what thought did ! Why would car insurance cover you for a bike ? Did you give the bike details to your insurance company ? Probably not or they would have told you you weren't covered. Assumption is the mother of all f*** ups !
Was it your scooter or somebody else's?
A full car license covers you for up to 49cc, but I don't think it works the same with insurance? Have you been asked to produce?
'licence'
?
If you have fully comp insurance it will only cover you to drive a CAR NOT BELONGING TO YOU and only for third party cover
If you're lucky you might get transported to the penal colony of Australia.

i have been asked to produce insurance licence reg cert and yes the bile did belong to me.
was it your first offence
if it was youd probably be looking at six points 200 fine and a hefty insurance premium
best check with insurance company before you take your bike out again and insure the bike properly
you have learned the hard way so next time you'll know better
things like that can happen to the best of drivers
Beg to differ in the nicest possible way Bob 57 ! Common sense should prevail and something as important as insurance (although some people think it's an option) should not be overlooked in anyway.
my car insurance allows me to drive, well ride motorbikes not belonging to me
