No one should be interpreting the appalling saga of Muslim grooming gangs - and moreover the abject disregard for the well-being of their young victims - as anything other than it is. A shameful indictment upon the authorities and upon the dishonest, kowtowing, sycophantic, weak-minded society we have become.
In 2020, Ms Shah successfully sued the campaigning group Leave.EU after it called her a “grooming gang apologist” in a 2019 Facebook post. The group apologised and accepted Ms Shah was a "vociferous campaigner for victims of grooming gangs", said their post was “ill-judged and untrue” and paid her damages for libel.
Accidentally. I don't think that these are her opinions especially as the report states that "Naz has been working for over 20 years on the issues of child abuse, violence against women and grooming, which is well documented.”
By the way - I'm not claiming she didn't like the tweet. I'm trying to give some context.//
Yeah I know, but you really can't accidentally tweet or retweet something, I always read something twice before I retweet, I wonder if she is still friends with the sender of the tweet.
It's soooo very easy. I get tweets that come up on my Mac as notifications. Normally I just dismiss them, but 'Dismiss' and 'Like' are very close together and I myself have accidentally clicked on the wrong icon when I've not been thinking.
But this case - looks different to me. The account she follows is a comedy/satirical one. What may work as an ironic tweet can suddenly look extremely bad when read as a dry statement.
It's like liking something Ali G may have jokingly said about women and then realising in bad it comes across later.
