I admit to being a cat lover but I also like big, cuddly dogs. This one is just beautiful and extra cuddly. This grooming session took five hours and he looks so different and much more comfortable.

Our cross Bullmastiff used to scale a really high fence to escape and go to the local primary school and help the kids eat their packed lunches.
Tilly, I haven't had a dog with an undercoat so I don't know what happened. I think he was found as a stray and was very matted so was shaved.
Patsy - imagine trying to feed him. The good thing about huge dogs is that they are usually lazy.

I really cannot understand why she bathed him before grooming him - that is the basic rule of dog grooming because if you bath a matted coat it just gets into a tighter mat. You would try brushing in sections first and only clip when the mats cannot be penetrated.
Sadly this is what all groomers have to go through every single day to a lesser extent with all the cockapoo and labradoodle type coats where the owners don't realise how much work is needed and because they are told they are non moulting so don't need grooming.

I bet Wally has been groomed like that before - he was so well behaved. The breed has a double coat for a reason. It originated in a very cold climate as an out of doors guard dog. Well done, groomer.
