Three 5G Broadband

Thinking of finally ditching the now unused for years phone line and using this for all my Broadband requirements..
Anybody have any experience of/with it...im in Central London so coverage looks to be good. Wondering about daily use, home and my business.

More concerned about upload than dload...Webdev means a lot of uploading and also video content to YT for clients
No game players so not worried about that, some Netflix and the usual email.

5G is indeed very fast, but it's for mobile phones. Since you're in London, you'd be far better off investing in business broadband from someone like Virgin Media Business, and righting it off as a legitimate business expense.

...this replaces the usual home router fibre/copper lines set up and totally separate to phones...

although this is only £20 pm cost is not relevant, im more interested in quality etc...ive read a few reviews, all good, but im looking for some real usage views...i suppose i could try it for a month (£24)before going for the 24m deal but it would be good to hear others experiences of using it.

baz, lots of people have ditched traditional broadband for 5G mifi type devices and get fantastic upload and download speeds but it depends where you live.
I can't get 5G in my house. If your phone gets good 5G speeds that's a good indicator.

Try asking your neighbours

I think it will largely depend on your business requirements. E.g. my 5G iPhone is currently showing 229Mbps download / 59Mbps download, but my fibre is showing 956Mbps download / 89Mbps upload. If you can get similar throughput by tethering to a 5G mobile, and that is sufficient for your business needs, then you don't need a fibre connection.

Im trying to get rid of as many cables and plugs etc, this will help. A fair amount of the 5g limitations on iphones and others is down to the phones capabilities..The current Three router is capable of some pretty impressive speeds, as long as its positioned correctly (various apps to find optimum position) ...and if im not mistaken i can see the transmitter not too far away so will do some checking if Three use it..
