I have put all my phots onto my computer. I would like to be able to burn them onto a dvd and play them on my dvd player and watch them on my TV. What sort of dvd should I use? Many thanks in advance.

The best one to use is whatever is compatible with your current DVD player ... as long as it can read / play JPEGS (assuming thats what you have saved them as) ... look in the instructions for the DVD player ...

my dvd says it plays jpeg. All my photos are jpg which i thought was the same thing; so had burnt them to dvd-rw and dvd+rw but none of them play. Can i just rename all my photos (name).jpeg (got loads of them, will take forever) or what? Sorry i sound such a thicko; as you can tell i'm a real novice.
Have you just burnt the jpgs to DVD? If so they won't work.

You need to use a program, like Nero, to create a DVD slideshow of the photos.
I normally just write them straight to a cd-r and they play on every dvd player i have tried.
I stand corrected then about them not working per se but your original prob sounds like it may be the problem that I have described
