be too heavy for me to lift in and out of my car boot? I reckon it would be OK lifting out but not sure about lifting in. The scooter folds at the push of a button so no taking to bits to load into the car. More expensive of course but worth it to me. Perhaps you know of someone who uses one or have one yourself? Thanks.

Yes I could go to a shop and have a look but cba at the moment. I will have to pay the cost of returning it if it's not right for me but that's fair enough.

You say it would live in your car. That means taking the battery off after each use to charge it in the house. I think you'd use it for a lot more than dog walking once you got used to it.

There are mobility scooter hoists that fit into a car boot Lady. You would need to do a bit of research or get the supplier of the scooter to do it as part of there service. Similar to this perhaps. Then no lifting is required. Boot size and height from ground are two aspects that would need specification. The LM model would easily handle the weight.

A hoist is a good idea but I doubt the Jazz will have a deep enough boot opening to allow it to hoist a scooter in.
Worth checking though. You would probably have to keep one back seat permanently down. Could make it awkward for the dog.

I'll be interested as to how you get on. I had to use one for a very short time and really didn't like it - my eye level seemed to be at crotch and stomach height, discombobulating for a tall man used to looking down on peoples heads.
I appreciate they are fantastic for those who would otherwise be housebound or very limited in where they could go, though.
I saw a fabby one styled like a Harley Davidson a while back

About an hour ago, there was a tv ad for Quingo showing one m.s. with automatic ramps - that arrangement would take up all the boot space and both back seats. Where would J go? I could also foresee problems if another vehicle parked too close to your boot. Can only imagine the price would be sky-high and very visible to thieves!

It almost seems there is too much choice so all the more reason to try before you buy. x

I'm not a tall person B so that won't be a problem for me. Choux when he's in my car J is clipped onto the front passenger seat belt.
I'm toying with the idea of getting one that doesn't need to go in my car boot but which I can ride to and from a park or wherever. I'm worried that means going along a fairly main road with my little dog attached by his lead to the scooter. Unless I can strap him somehow between my feet but he won't do anything to help LOL, just the opposite!
