Car Bluetooth Connection

My phone was connected to my cars Bluetooth, now my OH has changed his phone number, his new number is in my phone, but doesn't connect through the car bluetooth, does this mean I have to disconnect it, and then re connect, or is there another way to put his new number in

Your directory should load from your phone to the car each time they are in close proximity.

Maybe I misunderstood. Are you instead saying his phone doesn't connect and his phone's directory doesn't load ?

Have you deleted his old number from your contacts list on your phone, and from the car bluetooth? If so then also see whether his new number is paired with the car bluetooth.

Check his new number is saved to the same place, phone or SIM, as the rest of your contacts.
