i got this rotten body itch last 2 weeks it s an itch that moves over my body one sec its on my face next nose carries on like that over my body had 2 showers to day still the same any ideas tia

Older people have drier skin which can itch and having two showers in a day is going to make it worse, imo.

Hfjl Hi. Just to let you know this. But take note, I'm not for one min telling you, you have the same. Many months ago i was itching in different places, more so at night. Not long after i had a very itchy rash on my ankle. Doctor gave me fucidin cream for the rash, within a week the rash was completely gone, but kept coming back off and on for 18 months. I've just gone back to doctors for the same thing, itchy rash on ankle, this time different doctor, who told me straight away it was a fungal infection. Given more fucidin cream for the rash, and a months tablets, one a day. The tablets are Terbinafine.

Some older people get random itching but it can be a sign of liver problems, not always with jaundice, diabetes, and possibly scabies which is more common than most people think. so if it doesn't settle in the next week or so see your gp, also need to eliminate allergies so trying a one a day antihistamine is worth a try. One shower a day is plenty, use something like simple or aveeno body wash and if that doesn't help I find Eurax cream helps, as does cooling the itchy bits

Although i itched all over there was nothing there, only the ankle show a blister like rash.

Do you have animals. Could it be fleas, bed bugs, spider bites etc.

Is the rash purple pimple like? Scabies?

No idea......it certainly doesn't sound like shingles.

If it is at worst "annoying" then live with it for the next week and if it gets worse then contact your GP.

ta for all the info====no animals the itching does not leave a mark--i wasout in the patio bit cooler there itching seemed a bit better==at the moment its all over my head it does not last long there when it moves to another part of my body thanks again

I have similar experiences, and it is nothing wrong but just a sensation the body gives us, it will go away in time.

I get the most disconcerting sensation that water is dripping on me - it isn't but it is unpleasant. Better than the sensation of insects crawling all over me that I used to get.
I think our bodies do strange things for no reason at times.
