Im in my first trimester (early!)

I have an insane itch and rash.... mostly feet & legs, today it is hands... its actually quite painfull and really inflammed!!

My scalp is even itchy and its not something I usually suffer from.

Before pregnancy I took fexofenadine for hayfever & a cold allergy..... Im obviously not taking this just now and I havent been out in the cold so I dont think the rash is “cold urticaria”.

Im scratching till i bleed despite moisturising alot.... today my hands are starting to come out in tiny blisters and skin coming off likely due to my scratching!

Its driving me up the wall. I went to pharmacy who gave me aqueous cream + calamine- it hasnt really helped!

Desperately avoiding taking any antihisthamines regularly if possible - any suggestions how to relieve this itch and what the F it is!?

I have a midwife appt on Wed and I will obviously mention this- it has been suggested already that I am too early on to have any pregnancy related symptoms?

Should say I dont have any relevant medical conditions x
I did read it can be quite common in early pregnant due to hormone changes. Hope fully it will calm down soon. If not, get it checked out with your GP. By the way, Congratulations! x
Many Congratulations Tinks to you both ♥

Hope you can get some relief from this soon.
Hey! Congratulations!

Can't help with the itching problem, I'm afraid. :-(
I can't help either...but huge congratulations xx
Not my area, but it is extremely common in pregnancy probably due to increased blood supply to the skin.

Cholestatic jaundice is almost unheard of in the first trimester and as the name implies, one has to be jaundiced, so is a non starter as a diagnosis.

If you were my pregnant wife i would put you back on the Fexofenadine tablets.

Thank you everyone!!!!

I think the Fexo would help if i was back on it as I have been sneezing etc aswell- almost non stop!

Im sure things will settle down eventually its just so horrible!!!

Trying to avoid taking any medication - even creams but sometimes I just have to!!!

Hey many congrats, tinks. Hope you get this itching sorted.
I got this during my pregnancy and I just took antihistamines when I needed them.
Ha ha, I was sneezing all the time too.
Great news of babe, congratulations x

I use after sun for itches but I get itchy on antibiotics. Hope youve had chicken pox in the past.
Congrats, Tink xx

I never experienced itching in pregnancy so hopefully it will go soon.

You'll be a brilliant mum. I bet the young one is over the moon.
