If they are here legitimately, then fine. But why buy expensive houses ? Now they are safe they can join the locals hoping for a place at the same priority. Meanwhile since councils have a duty to house the homeless, temporary rented accommodation should be satisfactory while the council contemplate the utter folly of selling council house off at cut price in order to buy votes, and not getting replacement property over the years. If purchases were necessary, those getting help should expect cheaper properties, just as long as they are habitable. Individuals can move on when they are settled and have saved enough to buy a better home on the property market.
