Says he's got tourettes, didn't sound like it when he accepted his award. He couldn't even perform properly at Glastonbury. Another one revelling in his badge of honour called mental health problems.

Mocking the afflicted? Not very nice.
Nasty. You don’t know what your talking about.
dave, not sure how much you understand about Tourettes so have got a link for you.
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/tourettes-syndrome/
Its not something that happens all the time dave50... and people can manage it in certain circumstances through meds or through other support
maybe you need to research it or meet someone who has or look's after someone whose got mental health issues
Do you have proof that he doesn’t have Tourette’s?
You are a nasty sod Dave
Did you watch the documentary? were you at Glastonbury and lose out because he was unable to perform ? everyone there was so supportive to him. Mental health problems is hardly a badge of honour, no one wants them. He is a talented young man and made his way to public attention through hard graft, busking and pubs .
I don't particularly like Mr Capaldi but when chatting to my friend on Skype today I said how impressed I was with his acceptance speech and admired the contents of it. Now I have respect for him, I just never followed him before.

I do hope you read the link I have given you, dave. It is never a good idea to post from an position of ignorance. Those who don't know about this illness should count themselves fortunate indeed.
I like him. Saw him at King Tut's back in 2016, IIRC, quite by chance. He was mesmerising live.
wasnt it the program that won the award, not the man?
tourettes isn't a "mental health problem", it's a neurological disorder.

You seem to have one or two disorders of your own Dave. Might explain your anger and lack of empathy.
bednobs, it was the award for Authored Documentary.
Sorry, dave, but I think you need some education in mental health and neurological conditions. Many, many people who have either would wish they hadn't, most of them do not revel in their conditions, they just get on with life as best as they can. I think we need more documentaries to educate people but I suspect the very people who need to be educated don't watch them.
I was rather hoping that Rob Burrow's Living with MND' would win for bringing this dreadful disease into focus. He's a very brave man. Having said that all the nominees were deserving of being on the list.
