I liked her in Bread and an earlier sitcom with, I think, Jimmy Jewel.

Strange how the Bread cast didn't really feature much on TV when the series ended, it was very popular

Jean also appeared in Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em, Last Of The Summer Wine, Grange Hill, and Alan Bleasdale’s Boys From The Blackstuff. Later she made appearances in Doctors.

L-iK, she had a small part in the BBC's Miss Marple series where she played the ballet teacher in The 4:50 from Paddington which is how I first think of her. Like you, I never did like Bread.

I didn't like Bread when I first saw it - can't stand the Scouse accent for a start - but it became so popular that I gave it another try, got to know the characters, and ended up loving it.  Very cleverly written.
