I Am Supposed To To What I Am Told

How are we all? I know I've been AWOL for some time, but I needed time away to focus on everything that life decided to throw at me.
Hubby and I are waiting on me getting my toosh in gear so we can move forward with IVF.
Qualified as a Proofreader/Copy Editor earlier this year.
Health saga - gets shorter then longer again at the drop of a hat.
Missed you all.

I could just about pass for Nungate, Anne! I sound like her, I laugh like her and I've got her temper. Today would have been her birthday. I hope it does too, new insulin (still finding my feet) taken myself of Semaglutide but getting there...slowly.
Ellipsis I probably would but I'd only do it mentally. I use my phone for most things and the stuff it comes out with is incredible and often funny!
It is good to see you, and other returnees, posting again QoM. Maybe the site will regain its previous well balanced content with your input. Good result with the proffesional qualification too. DT may be able to "advise" as he does some proof reading I believe. We may not be able to assist in a future confinement I am afraid. 😉
Thank you Pasta. I don't know how long I was away for but I used the time constructively to get myself out of a black hole. But I'm please to be back among you all.
Togo, I'm sure he will notice it soon enough. I knew he'd been published but I've not had a chance to read his works. But I'm certain he would be more than happy to explain a few things.
I used to do some proofreaing/editing work, most of 20 years ago, but there wasn't much work around at the time. Nothing I've seen in media sites online convinces me that editors care about typos, lies or nonsense any more. Good luck, though, there will always be some sort of market for readers who like things clear, simple and correct.
Aww thank you Barsel.
jno - I am one of this people. I'm terrible.
Some things that are supposedly 'proofread' are shocking. I read something the other day and found several faults with it. It takes all I have to not have a pencil at hand when I read a book or I'm constantly fixing things that I find fault with. But you do get a giggle at times.
