The common wasp collects insects including caterpillars to feed to its larvae.Wasps are critically important in natural biocontrol. Almost every pest insect species has a wasp species that is predator or parasite upon it. Parasitic wasps are also increasingly used in agricultural pest control.
well can you tell me if this is true, i had 3 parasetic wasps found in my home and my cat died at the same time and someone told me they lay their eggs on the cat and paralise it to do so thus causing the cat to have a heart attack and if this is true i hate them all, i have one in a jar it stung me and made my face paralised on one side for a day i dont ever kill any creature except them, nasty b.......std
I HATE WASPS- I have been stung several times in my my life for no reason, and My old cat was attacked as he walked past a nest once.I've had three nests in my house over the past few years.
I'm not convinced that they're essential to the environment, though apparantly there were fewer wasps this year which accounted for loads of daddy-long-legs. I know which I'd prefer.
Speaking as a vegetarian and animal lover- EXTERMINATE-EXTERMINATE THEM ALL!
