Hamas encamp themselves in with the Palestinian people and they need weeding out, that's why.

I have a theory that Putin is behind this in that he's been stirring up the Iranians to stir up Hamas and Hezbollah, effectively to create a second front and distract Zelinsky and divert Western attention and military spend....After all, he has been buying Iranian kit and not least drones by the drove.

I don't think the Russians are behind this. They have tho been desperate to promote the nonsense that Hamas got its weapons from Ukraine. Not necessarily directly. 
Tho Medvedev accused Zelensky of funding Hamas. And they're furious that no one is listening to their lies any more.

As for "kind Israel" - its kinder than Hamas who shamelessly use Palestinians as human shields.

And the only warning you get from the ruzzians is the knock on the door ...

Perhaps Hamas will tell them where they should  go but I read they've told the population to ignore warnings as propaganda.  Apparently Hamas has said unannounced attacks will result in hostages being murdered.  Israel might - at a push - save a few from a barbaric death.
