This a genuine, non-partisan inquiry. Why are Israeli military and government spokesmen now continually referring to Hamas as ISIS?

Good.  Perhaps it'll hit the spot with the useful idiots marching for Palestine.  Something needs to because as it is they have no idea what they're supporting.

ISIS supports a Muslim brotherhood and wants a caliphate across the Muslim world.

Hamas sought a Palestinian state and latterly have accepted a two party  solution.

Gromit, do some homework.

Sandy :"....the freedom fighters of Hamas " - seriously?

gromit: "Hamas sought a Palestinian state and latterly have accepted a two party  solution." - on the 6th of October, they had that.

Please explain how Hamas and ISIS are the same thing.

Gromit, I didn’t say Hamas and ISIS are the same thing.  Hamas is, however, connected to the Muslim Brotherhood, its methods are brutal and barbaric, and its intention is to destroy Israel and to replace it with an Islamic state governed by Sharia.  Islam's ultimate goal is an Islamic world and as I said earlier there is little to differentiate between any of the Islamic terrorist groups.  They're all founded on the same fundamental principles of their religion.   If Israel's references to Hamas as ISIS trigger a doubt in the minds of those who cry 'Free Palestine' it's all to the good, in my opinion, because should they get their wish freedom won’t be an option.
