As for the students - some enter, some leave. I assume people understand the concept of net migration.

To be 100% clear - 97% of our 745,000 immigrants were welcomed by our current Government, which I did not vote for - did you?

My choice is that they should return home at the expiration of their student visa. That was the deal. If your company cannot recruit staff from native Scots that's their problem. It is absolutely ludicrous that this country should import around three-quarters of a million people each and every year to solve their dilemma. If too many "students" are breaking that deal then th earrangment should be stopped.

In fact (and moving the debate somewhat) there is an over abundance of university places in the UK. There is absolutely no need for so many places and many of them are taken up by overseas students, many of whom contribute to the over-staying problem. 

This country really needs to move away from the adiction it has to vast numbers of immigrants being ported in every year. There is no accommodation for them and no public services to cater for their needs (in fact most are struggling to provide for the people already here). Anybody who believes such an influx can be sustained needs their bumps felt.
