You are nailing it. Well done.

That's good news.  We're all wishing you the best.

sandy, I often wonder how you are, have you managed to control your drinking and how are you generally?

Hey Nailedit, it's weird that although we don't actually know each other, I felt genuine joy to read your latest news, especially to read you are on the bus, on the way to visit your family without a drink inside you. Well done you, I'm so pleased for you and I hope your family will feel very proud of you.x

Elliemay1,

I think it's about 3 months since I last drank. I'm still fatigued and walking any distance is impossible.  I need to accept that my life has changed.  That's not the easiest thing to do.

sandy, it's brilliant that you haven't had a drink for 3 months, that's a great achievement. It isn't easy to accept that our bodies are slowing down but I suppose there's nothing we can do only keep on going as best we can, take care x

Good news Nailedit, you can be proud of your achievement.

Sandy, brilliant that you are 3 months into sobriety, great stuff.

Have a wonderful day with family Nailit.
One of the best ways to help yourself is to help others, you are doing brilliantly.

So are you sandyRoe - well done :)

Yes!  Well done both of you.  xx

good well done

So far so good ! Hope it carries on like this , it's really marvellous to see how well your doing.

Great !!

I'm so pleased to see sandyRoe and Nailedit doing so well without alcohol.
Well done, guys, and keep going. 😁

The effects of alcohol on the finances of this country, are 10 times more than the effects of smoking. There isn't the same rush to control alcohol because virtually everyone consumes it. Consider these: domestic violence; town centre violence; absenteeism; death on the roads. None of those can be attributed to smoking, yet smoking is targetted much more than alcohol. Don't misunderstand. I'm not advocating smoking. Just pointing out the imbalance and hysteria that's associated with smoking. The same controls should be implemented against alcohol as there are against tobacco. The effects of alcohol was felt by my family earlier this year when a 33yr old relative died due to alcoholism.
