It's not old news - it's just a quirky item up for a bit of a natter in Chatterbank.  If you don't want to join in pleasantly go and talk about something else.

they don't walk...

Glug ...

they've already reduced the number of passengers because tourists are getting fat (nothing to do with pasta, obviously)

Ugh! Hope they didn't swallow any of that filthy water.  Just their pride perhaps?

Not the best place for a dip, is it Patsy.  :o)

I don't think water quality in Venice is all that bad, it's right on the sea. It looks murky because gondolas and ferries churn up sediment. You're probably safer there than in Thames Water's manor.

Grief, this is old news!

first I've heard of it and this ain't the news section anyway and the story is a week old and why are you trolling roo?

The article was dated 7th December so Old News is a fair comment.

Question Author

well said naomi, do these people just trawl around all day looking for something to make a smart aris comment about?

16:03 this is CB.

My guess is the gondolier shouted (in Italian) at the (oriental) tourists to sit down. They didn't understand, and they lacked common sense, so they got wet. Tough luck.

two sharks out in the Adriatic - 'let's go to Venice for the evening and have a Chinese.'
