Morning all,

We're off the Budapest in Feb and will be visiting the Szechenyi Thermal Baths. Has anyone been there? Was wondering about the etiquette etc.

Wear a swimsuit and take your own towel seem to be about it.

And flip-flops

Thanks, I've read that link on the website. I was thinking more of personal experiences:

Is there somewhere to leave your towel whilst in the water?

Can you move freely between the different pools and saunas?

Are the lockers easily accessible if you need to get anything out?

Is it best to book online, or is it easy to just turn up?

Probably more, blah blah blah

I haven't been to the baths but Budapest is lovely.   Wrap up warm - and if you need a bit extra try their warm brandy.   Mmmm...

Cross-posted, rocky.  Looking at your subsequent questions I don't appear to have been much help.  Sorry.

If you have the time visit their parliament building - fantastic.

I guess it's high time i returned to Budapest, i was only there once when using inter-rail in 1981

Don't forget your swimming cap,,,,we got very screeched at in Hungarian as we didn't realise you needed these for the swimming pool

I liked Buda, not so much Pest. Or visa versa. I did a pleasant watercolour picture of the beautiful government building. At night the birds circle it continuously and look like fireflies.
