Another baltic day here today -4 brrrr never got above -2 yesterday outside my little cottage on a hill!

We have decided rename Bollinger our 17 year old cat Lazarus, convinced on tuesday evening she was not long for this world and would 'hopefully' pass in her sleep - very lethargic refusing food and drink and seemed very spaced out. We kept her warm in her bed, yesterday saw little improvement so we made the decision that today we would take her to the vet!

Well at 230am she decided to let me know in no uncertain terms that she was hungry and she must have food now!!! and that is that.

Whilst at 17 she is not exactly sprightly she is moving around and letting me know that she will not be eating the food in her bowl that is now considered left overs as it has been there for 30 mins!!

Have a goood day, keep warm and safe xx

Ladybirder - she has a jumper that I knitted for her - she wears it but much prefers to curl up next to a hot water bottle and a blanket lol not that she's spoilt!

Good morning all + all critters great and small!

Keep warm, take care folks

Morning.

Another early start for us, so we're up, washed and dressed before decorator arrived. We have the heating blasting out but the front door is being opened and closed a lot so a chill wind is whistling through the house. Hopefully they'll be finished and gone in a few hours so I'll have to make my own lunch today 😊

Hope your cat continues to improve, Helen. How's the dog doing??

Good Morning all.

Sub-zero, bloody cold here - bird bath solid so hot water treatment applied.  Above zero forecast for today so I hope it hurries up, shopping needed later brrrrrr.

Stay warm and safe peeps.

just went to start my car up and its reading -5 although himself said it was -3 on his newer car.

Still blinkin freezing

Thanks Canary, never thought of my BB being frozen over but I can see it is.  Got a visitor coming at 10am so I'll put a kettle on just before they arrive and ask if they'll do the same here.

The car is still defrosting goodness know how long it will take - the inside is frozen

-3 here in East London!!! Very cold but no snow.

Not looking forward to venturing out, but needs must.

Stay warm everyone.

Good morning from a frosty west country. 0° when I got up...rising to 5° later. We will have a heatwave by the weekend...12° by Sunday. All the windows will be open!

Meanwhile my brother has -5/23f° 35 miles outside of NYC.

Wishing little Bollinger(bolly?)a warm and cosy day indoors. That goes for all of us.

Vagus - just realised you asked after Jess - it took nigh on 10 days for her to be 'normal'

She has lost 5 kilos since her vaccinations in October but to be honest it was needed and now we will try and keep it off !

We are now building her painkillers back up as they are quite harsh on the stomach so increasing them slowly

Oh poor Jess, good she's improving though. It's such a balance with painkillers and mobility isn't it? I know our dog will at some point have to take regular painkillers for his hip dysplasia but at the moment, and for as long as they still work, it's monthly injections keeping things at bay.

Red - this is a strong opinion, not everyone would agree with. I can tell a thing we have in common is we don't think things through first.

Eitherway I am paying the fee

I have been looking at the prices. Now do you think I should pay for a non existent female cut and blow or the male cut and blow?

My hair is only short but the female cut and blow is twice the price :D
