Cordless Trimmer For Bushes

I am looking for a small very lightweight ( arthritis in hands) cordless trimmer for bushes..any ideas please.

Thanks Barry1010, looked at that but am looking for a small one just for small bushes & that still seems too heavy for me, maybe just one small blade if possible.   Brainiac. HaHa

Bosch is a good brand.  Would this suit?

I've just looked at Which? recommendations. For lightweight occasional use any cheapo one will do (Aldi and Lidl will have them soon). However, they do suggest sticking with a corded one if you can because the batteries on cordless models are the weak parts (given they can be unused for several months).

I bought a Makita hedge trimmer last. It cost me nearly £200-00, but it was well worth it. I have over 70mts of privit hedge on my allotment and it does them easily on 1 charge. Have a look on their website for smaller models. The batteries also fit all their cordless range.

I think Which? are being over-pikky about cordless. We had a corded, which we liked but found the cord a nuisance. We recently bought a Bosch full-size cordless and much preferred it to the corded. We now also have a similar one to Barry's recommendation (although not a Bosch) and find that ideal for some of our smaller shrubs. Batteries are not a problem since they went lithium.

This is the one we bought as higher-voltage batteries usually provide more power - you will see it has 21V batteries (Bosch 3.5V) and comes with 2 batteries rather than a built-in battery which means you're able to swap batteries rather than stop for a recharge if it goes flat on you. As a bonus the batteries also fit a tyre inflator and a mini chain saw that I have (unintentional good luck).

Another idea might be to lower the hedges and bushes, and keep them low, to save you lifting the trimmer too high.

I bought some years ago the Bosch trimmer that Barry1010 suggested via Amazon - I ended up giving up the ghost with this , it needed charging forever !! Sorry Barry 1010.

The battery lasts all day, it's never run out on me. It's light weight, easy to use although you do need to use two hands but that's for safety, to stop you chopping the other hand off!

All I need now is a hedge clippings picker-upper as I get carried away!
