https:/
\\Police would not confirm whether they are treating the incident as an acid attack.
So what the hell is it then.
The man remains in a nearby hospital for treatment to burns to the back of his head. His injuries are described as non-life threatening.//
the police better check Deal pier in case he suddenly jumps off

this or a serious alkaline attack, like ammonia, really needs to be clamped on/beefed up as to severity of offence.... there's too much of it going on.
One hardly mentioned has happened to a late 30/early 40 something male hairdresser that a close friend of mine uses. I have met him a couple of times.
He travelled into London - I think south of the River - at night and someone tapped on his car-window, telling him to open it. Daft idiot opened it slightly and then, on the attacker's demand, opened it further.
He was greeted with, 'This is for you' and a phial of acid was thrown in. He ended up at St. Thomas's, his eye stitched up, presumably in attempt to allow it to heal.
No evident provocation, just a gratuitous attack.
