My neighbours 16yr old son was in their garden shed this afternoon.  He had 2 mates with him and they were smoking weed.

Do I tell his mother?

Say nothing?

Have a word with him?

Have a word with his 18yr old brother.

My worry is I might get repercussions from him; (vandalised property,  car or threats to me and my partner.)

A gang Melv?  Or just 5 young lads.  Are they disturbing  you in any way?  There is nothing unusual in what they are doing.

I have a good relationships with my neighbours and both have keys for each others houses. I have also known the lad since he was born.

His mother is a single parent, as the father abandoned them soon after he was born.

My worry is that the house becomes a centre for drug taking, with all the problems that can cause.

//My worry is that the house becomes a centre for drug taking, with all the problems that can cause. // Perhaps a little bit of an over reaction!!

If you have known the lad since he was born - then why are you concerned about vandalism if you speak to his mother?

If you feel you need to speak to his mother then do so - don't let a load of faceless people on the net with differing opinions stop you.

Do you have a Police Community Support Officer?

Maybe have a quiet word with them asking for "advice" & stressing that you are not making a report & don't want to be identified as witnessing any law-breaking.
