Never heard of a torus (TorusTorusTorus?) but I'd have hazarded a guess that Torus being close to Taurus might've been something to do with bulls. Bull have rings through their noses, so ring.

Yes mozz or you could have noticed that the other 2 are actually names for geometric shapes already so it could only be ring.

Well Mozz I never thought you'd be affected by by superpower. There are many names for the Pyramid, Sphere but the actual name for the geometric shapes are Pyramid and Sphere.

All depends on someone's level of knowledge when it comes to geometry. 

The question correctly refers to each choice in it's most common name, but they could still feasibly have had a different Latin name.

I would not have a clue but would have guessed ring because of the whole Taurus thing - but that is because I have time to think about it - put me on the spot I don't know what I would have picked!

But that is the point isn't it - we are not answering these questions under pressure.  So despite you saying you have done quiz shows several times (and not providing any evidence) most of us have not so are not aware of that type of pressure.

11:21. The question doesn't say they aren't, it asked which one is "torus" another name for.

Yes and Pyramid/sphere are already actual geometric shapes so it could not possibly be them. So Torus is the geometric name for a common shape namely ring. The others are already the geometric names. you can't be this dim.
