I was sitting here strumming Hey Joe, my favourite Hendrix track ... and I wondered, would he still 'cut the mustard' if he were alive today, and what type of music would he play?
cut the mustard? he ****** all over everyone around today despite being dead for over 30 years, no ones as good as him. machine gun is his best but then i could change my mind depending what album im listening to!

Would Hendrix still cut the mustard today? - without a doubt, no-one can touch him, this ties in with a theory i've had for a while which is: The affluence of the generation(s) which followed the likes of Hendrix, Clapton etc. actually had a detrimental effect because they didn't feel the actual desire to succeed and excel in that field because they knew they could fall back into something else other than music.
Favourite Hendrix track - Burning the midnight oil
He'd still be a force to reckon with, though I think there have been a few who are on a par, but in their own way and style. My favourite song is Fire, by a long shot. Move over Rover.
