This one's for Gness and SunnyDave who, apparently, sing it in the car as they drive through the mountains - would be lovely if they dropped by today 😊 Take a break from The Holy Well festivities  🍷🍺 Also Happy Birthday to SD - today or thereabouts x

And Nigerians and migrants all over the world - he spread his patronage far and wide.

I believe that some Nigerians like a Guinness or two.  It seems a heavy drink for such a warm climate.

I can't do links but I'd like to see The Dubliners singing The Irish River.

Happy St Patrick's Day to one and all.

I am Irish. Not born in Ireland, but I had Irish grandparents and according to the Irish Govt website, I am an Irish citizen! So there!

Having said that, I went to St. Patricks' school in Collyhurst, Manchester. Are there any former pupils out there? Anyway, every St Patricks' day we had to wear a sprig of shamrock that was issued to all pupils, although I didn't need any because my grandparents always had a delivery from Ireland, so I had my own supply!

I might have a ride down to the Irish Club on Queens Road later and probably join in with the Fields of Athenry and others!

An Irish friend of mine went out as usual last year on St Patricks' night and when I asked him where he'd got to he said "Oim fkd if oi know!" Moi ya!

Thanks Hazlinny - we are just gearing up for the St Patrick's Day parade & then an afternoon of 'relaxation'. Sláinte

Dave & Gness xx

Happy St Patrick's Day to all concerned! 😊

Tops,  St Patrick's Day, enjoy a few whiskeys. xx

For my lovely Scottish friends now living in Maghera - a laugh xx

Happy St. Patricks day...

Love Irish songs - Happy St Patrick's Day to one and all.  It also happens to be my youngest grandson's 16th birthday so a double celebration.

Actually, St Patricks Day has a huge celebration in Malta, in Spinola Bay, St. Julians. I was there one year when they closed all the seafront and thousands of people in Irish gear seemed to suddenly appear from nowhere.
