Changing A Fuse

Electric blanket stopped working, hoping it is the fuse.  On the plug it says 3 amp, but I only have 5 amp fuses. Would this be safe to use ??

I wouldn't, especially in an electric blanket.

No. If 4 amps can damage the blanket, a 5 amp fuse won't protect it.

You need to use the currect fuse.  Exceeding the fuse rating is dangerous.

You can check it with any value, just be quick with the off switch and the fire extinguisher.

Of course, it may be better to use an ohmmeter or continuity tester on the removed fuse.
