my friend has a tattoo on his arm and its risen, so that now it's bumpy. he's kinda concerned about it. i have a couple of tattoos and sometimes they;re risen too. anyone got any ideas?

It is totally normal. When you think about it it's like any other scar tissue. Have you noticed how your skin goes pink say after some exersice or a hot bath, well the scar tissue tends to swell up as it can't exectly turn pink for the lack of blood supply. Has your friend been working out or just been very active lately?
