Would anyone be able to help me with this one? One of my friends has been cautioned for possession of marijuana, he had about 1/8th. This happened about 4 years ago when he was 18. What are the implications of this concerning working abroad etc? Would he be able to travel to the US or Australia? Also does this caution get wiped off his record so to speak?
Many Thanks

If its just a caution, there is absolutely nothing to worry about. I got a caution for the same thing, i was told it just goes on record. Unless he has been to court etc.
Not a problem at all, my boyfriend has a similar thing and just got back from Australia. Tell him not to worry.
Though it wont actually be "wiped off his record" he wont have to declare it anywhere - job applications etc

Thanks very much. Is it a myth about not being able to go to the States or would it just be if you were charged?
In order to recieve the caution he would normally have been arrested. So this means he is not technically eligible for the visa waiver program to enter the US and must apply for a visa. But I would imagine numerous people in the same position as him just don't mention it and are not found out.
I got caught happy slapping some drunk old bloke asleep on the bus and he fell and koncked his head, also it wasnt my idea it was Daz.

Can I say im not guilt becasue it was the guys fault cos he fell, i only slapped him?
