Iwant To Make My Wishes About End Of My...

Not sure how well up people are on managing wellbeing etc, don't mean to state the obvious but I wanted to share what I learned about mindfulness from an anxiety book. I'l try to summerise:
Basically too many people are so busy, feel like they have to achieve things constantly or feel ashamed to take time for themselves. They think about the past and future too much and forget to focus on the present.
This leads to anxiety, anger and other mental health problems.
If you watch children they are very good at engaging with the present - focusing on the tasks or thing they are playing with.
Due to work and general life adults often lose this ability and are often ruminating on the past and thinking of the future. This is often due to societies demands/ expectations or guilt.
Relearning this ability to focus on the present, engaging your senses on a task and allowing yourself to do this (rather than feeling guilty about self indulging) is very important for mental health
It is called mindfulness ie being in the present.
Think about when you were a child and what you enjoyed doing to keep yourself in the present.
Some examples:
Arts/crafts - weaving/building Lego, colouring. Walking - focusing in colours/items around you. Imagary.
Basically any hobby which keeps focus on the present
